Moving Along
With the flight booked back from Newfoundland this trip is sure looking certain.
Adding to the excitement, I finally organized all my savings and made the purchase of the long awaited Nikon D5100, too. I also had a bit of luck. Just as I bought camera, a friend bought a new 300mm lens for his own camera. He gave me his 105mm lens in exchange for my smaller 55mm lens.
Let the fun begin…
I am rocking a high end amateur camera now. I cannot believe it.
I ran into a really nice woman the other day at a bar who specializes in the filming and producing of many short films. She said she would be glad to help me out in learning how to make the best out of this awesome camera.
Can’t wait to start shooting the first minutes of footage.
The next step in preparing for the trip is to accumulate a total of $320 for a tripod, external mic, camera case, and a few other trip related items.
After this, I will need to accumulate a total of $1500 for the actual trip. $500 of which is just for the regualar food expenses over 30 days.
This summer has sure been hectic.. every day is long, exhausting, and hard on the body.
It is amazing to think that all this work is being put in to some getaway trip that will require even more physical exertion than now.
I am still working on a “sentence” that can explain why I am doing this. Maybe I wont be able to do so until the end of the trip.
Human beings can be quite complex at times i think…..
